I Close My Eyes (a Dream Garden Poem)

by Kayleigh Fisher, Lodge Hill Juniors, Yr 4/5L

I close my eyes and
imagine a scene,
with sweets all around me
….. what a dream!

My gate of matchmakers,
like nobbly wood,
creaks on its hinges
like an old gate should.

A path of Winders,
so fruity indeed.
A puddle of chocolate,
to satisfy my greed.

Lollypop trees
in marshmallow pots.
And flowers made

.. of Jelly Tots!

See, Feel and Here (a Dream Garden Poem)

by Francesca Hoddinott, Lodge Hill Juniors, Yr6

I go out in my dream garden and I see..
the crystal clear sky,
with two birds playing cheerfully,
like two young children,
as they chirp a merry song.

The flowers standing as straight as soldiers,
but then the warm breeze
gently nudges them,
making them dance.

I go out in my dream garden and I feel ..
the blazing sun
stretching it’s glorious rays
as if it’s giving me
a big hug.

The crisp emerald grass
tickling my bare feet
As I run joyfully
up and down my garden.

I go out in my dream garden and I hear...
the light rustling of leaves
as the breeze whooshes
through them.

I look around me and I see...
the perfect dream garden,
ahead of me!
