EXHIBITING/SELLING AT CAERLEON ARTS FESTIVAL 2010
Artists and craftspeople are invited to exhibit and sell their work during the final weekend of the festival - 10th and 11th July. As usual we are offering spaces under cover or outside. Our marquees measure 6 metres x 4 metres and there will be three exhibitors per marquee. We also have a limited number of mini marquees (6 x 3 metres) for groups who wish to have one to themselves,
The festival is now a well established, popular annual event incorporating visual arts, music, drama, dance and more. A week of evening events will culminate in a weekend of activities on the field with plenty to do and see for all ages. This year we are reverting to the previous format with the sculptors working on the field all week, creating sculptures on this year’s theme of “Talkwood”. (See the home page for more information about the theme). As usual, entry is free to the public.
Fees held for the third year running. We all know that times are hard and we like to give what support we can to our artists and craftspeople by keeping our fees low. The cost of exhibiting at Caerleon has not increased since 2007. The Festival is a non-profit event run entirely by volunteers and every penny raised is used for the Festival. Some regular exhibitors have supported the festival by donating a prize for the draw and if anyone would like to do so we are always most grateful - but there is absolutely no obligation.
If you have been to the festival before you will know what a popular, enjoyable and friendly event it is. If you haven’t, a browse around our website will give you a flavour of the atmosphere.
I do hope you will join us this year. If you have any queries or would like more information, please feel free to contact me.
With best wishes,

Maggie Corke
