Martina Netíková - Czech Republic

Martina is
making a return visit to Caerleon, but this time it will be a family affair. Her husband Jiri, also a noted sculptor, is taking part in the symposium - and they will be bringing their sons Nicolas and Jacob, shown here with some of their own wood carvings. Martina, born in 1973, studied aesthetics and history of art at the University of Brno and learned woodcarving and sculpture in Jiri's studio. They have had exhibitions of their work in the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. They also create designs for engraved glass.
