Nick was born in Wolverhampton in 1951 and studied fine art at the University of Newcastle, winning a sculpture scholarship in Rome. He has taken part in numerous exhbitions and symposia - including the Lake Vyrnwy symposium in Wales in 2004 - and has works in public and prviate collections. He has taught at a number of institutions, including Newcastle University, Falmouth School of Art and De Montfort University, Leicester.
For Caerleon, he proposes a two-part wood carving From the Black Mountains to the Sea reflecting "the work of water cutting through rock to create the valley forms in which the river now sits." Right: some previous works.
