Gill, who was born and lives in Glamorgan, has had a long-standing passion for making ceramics. At first she worked from her kitchen worktop, but the recent addition of a garden studio has enabled her to develop her skills into newer and more exciting directions. Her designs are all hand-built using mainly stoneware clay. Gill’s sculptural work provides her with the opportunity to develop textures and colour. A range of money-boxes depicts the defenders and invaders of Wales over the centuries in a unique and practical way. They are available at Caerleon's Roman museum, Model House, Llantrisant, and Cardiff Castle shop (when it reopens after refurbishment)
