TREORCHY MALE VOICE CHOIR Review

In their seventieth anniversary year the Treorchy Male Choir under the directorship of Jeffrey Howard made their first ever visit to Caerleon. It won’t be the last.

A capacity audience enjoyed a performance of controlled power, passion and subtlety.  Soprano, Iona Jones complemented the choir perfectly – a beautiful voice delivering beautiful songs with accompanist Helen Roberts. The diverse programme included remembrance of our war dead.

Sometimes words are inadequate, but applause speaks volumes. It did so. All present, performers and punters, were aware they had experienced a very special occasion. In troubled times, on a drear November Remembrance Day night, spirits were lifted and hope restored.

The Choir entertained customers in the White Hart afterwards.  Memorable.
