The TREORCHY MALE CHOIR with soloist Iona Jones
For 130 years the Treorchy Male Choir has been recognised as one of the greatest choral ensembles of all time. Early competition victories were followed by regular radio and television broadcasts, feature films and an unequalled number of commercial recordings. The Choir has given several Royal Command Performances, appeared alongside very many international entertainers and undertaken an enviable number of tours abroad.
RICHARD DIGANCE
Richard is a BAFTA Nominated entertainer and a Gold Award recipient from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. He is also listed in the Virgin Anthology of Music as an influential writer of comedic songs. Not many guitarists have played a duet with Queen's Brian May, worked with Steve Martin, played an acoustic set with Status Quo or performed at The London Palladium with the late Robin Williams, Richard has 3 million YouTube hits, 27 albums and a Golden Anniversary Tour, 50 years of songs and stories, coming in 2017

FAKE THACKRAY, aka JOHN WATTERSON, is an adopted Yorkshireman with a huge appreciation and love of Jake Thackray's music. His performance is a celebration of the man that was Jake Thackray – his life, his work and his genius – a genius which the new age of music lovers are in danger of missing out on. John is a talented guitarist and vocalist and has that engaging quality that makes you want to listen to his performance. When you wrap these ingredients up in the songs of Jake Thackray the result is a highly entertaining, heartfelt tribute to one of the finest songwriters of the 20th century.

Shakespeare’s Hamlet – The Festival Players
In celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, The Festival Players Theatre Company is proud to present the Bard’s most famous play, Hamlet. All in the setting of Caerleon’s Roman Amphitheatre. A performance given by the Côr y Dreigiau Newport Gwent Dragon’s Choir under the musical directorship of Helen Robbins with Colin Beynon as accompanist will precede the play at 6.30pm.

Poetry In The Pews - Owen Sheers supported by The Allegra Ladies Choir, Mike Jenkins. Owen Sheers is an international acclaimed and award winning Welsh poet, author and playwright. His first novel, Resistance, was translated into ten languages and adapted into a film. The Dust Diaries, his Zimbabwean non-fiction narrative, won the Welsh Book of the Year. He has received many other awards including the Hay Festival Poetry Medal and the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award..

A four piece acoustic band based in Llanfrechfa who can be found gigging throughout the Cardiff & Newport area with a repertoire of light rock, blues & country music. The band comprises of Ian Kendrick (guitar & vocals); Mark Payne (lead vocals, harmonica & tambourine); Nicky Dominy (guitar & backing vocals); James Dawson (mandolin, guitar and definitely no vocals!).

Simply known as “The Frogs” to their ever growing number of followers supporting their smiling upbeat music, this five piece band from the South Wales Valleys appeals to all ages, as they deal out plenty of funky Latin rocky grooves, which get your foot tapping and the body swaying. It doesn’t end there, there's also a smattering of jazz and country thrown into the mix for good measure. Solid yet funky bass, drums, and percussion serving to underpin the slap and tickle guitar style.

Robin is legendary worldwide as musician, storyteller and writer. He has fore fronted many genres over his 50 year career .He plays harp and guitar. Bina is an inspired and gifted singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist in her own right. She has a hauntingly sweet melodious voice .She plays bowed psaltery, plucked psaltery, auto harp and long neck dulcimer. Their soulful performances as a duo feature their East West vocal harmonies and their own unique interweave of songs stories and music.
